Career Development Conference 2010 in Brig campus
This year’s Career Development Conference (CDC) was once again a great success, thanks to the visit and presentation of 27 recruiters representing 14 companies around the world. The organization of this event was carried out with great professionalism by the César Ritz Colleges career placement team. The main goal of the CDC is to match the hospitality and tourism students with the industry in order to facilitate a career for the managers of the future.
Recruiters from around the globe
During this event, 14 companies presented their properties and company values in order to attract students that will match with their work philosophy and ethics. After a pre-selection, 295 interviews were conducted for various positions and areas in the industry. The feedback received by the recruiters was very positive and we are delighted to know that they are interested in returning next year.
The managers of the future
The recruiters stated certain specific factors they look for and which are taken when interviewing potential employees. These factors include looking for students with motivation, a positive attitude, good personal presentation, grooming and career orientation as well as communication and people skills, in addition to language skills. For the hospitality industry, other factors included having passion and being caring.
The recruiters highlighted some of the major strengths of César Ritz Students such as a strong academic preparation, good manners and attitude, an open mind, and diversity due to the cultural exposure that the school provides.
